Align 2008
In early September Align sponsored a fly-in to their test field and manufacturing facilities. The invitation was extended to all worldwide distributors of Align products. As a member of our Team Pilotage, pilot Vladimir Golubev attended the fly-in representing both Pilotage and the Russian Federation. He placed in the top 10 of both categories that he enrolled in with his T-Rex 500.
Russian Off-Road Championship
From the 15th – 17th of August, Moscow hosted the Russian Off-Road Championships for the Buggy 8 and Truggy 8 competition classes. Team Pilotage emerged as this year’s number 1 placing team in the Truggy 8 class as our team Pilot Ilya Schupik took the number one spot driving Pilotage’s new and soon to be released Pilotage X2 CRT.

This model is a beautifully detailed recreation of the I-15 Chato, a plane notable for its participation in the Spanish Civil War on both sides of the battle lines. It features a simulation engine cowling and a fiberglass gull wing joint. This model was designed to not just look, but to handle similar to the real thing. The model’s construction allows it to fit a number of various configurations, the kit includes all the hardware to equip it with an electric engine, a .60 2-stroke GP engine, or a .80 4-stroke engine.

Just like the real thing, the Yak-12 is an ideal training model in the GP 40 Class. Though easy to fly, the model retains all of the stylish lines of the full-scale original. The model features flaps, a clear rear window, and an array of authentic decals. With a .46 GP motor the model can perform basic aerobatic maneuvers. If you equip it with a 4-stroke engine it is almost impossible to distinguish this model from the real thing while airborne.
